China LNG prices still on the downtrend on poor demand

China spot LNG delivery price averaged Yuan 4,548/tonne as of November 5, down Yuan 188/tonne from the previous trading day, according to OilChem.

 

Imported LNG ex-terminal prices stood at Yuan 4,843/tonne today, down Yuan 27/tonne from the previous trading day, according to OilChem. The prices dropped further as the downstream demand was yet to improve, while the port arrivals remained intensive in November.

 

LNG sales volume by truck at coastal terminals was 39,018 tonnes on November 4, down 0.11% from the last trading day. In detail, the sales volume was 14,406 tonnes in East China, down 10.79%, 9,891 tonnes in South China, flat, and 13,209 tonnes in North China, up 14.99%, according to OilChem data.

 

Domestic LNG prices are expected to bottom out in the near future as the prices are already low.
